About us
Our project(s):
Under the leadership of the Inclusive Innovation Hub (I2Hub) at the University of Ottawa, Inclusive Innovation Transitions brings together a range of organizations and individuals from the private, public, and non-profit/community sectors, who collectively hold a breadth of knowledge and perspectives and represent diverse constituencies.

Our goal(s):
Address conceptual and empirical gaps in knowledge on inclusive innovation and to develop experience and networks among current and aspiring innovation system actors to achieve the immediate outcome of increased inclusiveness in innovation and the long-term impact of a systemic transition to inclusive innovation. Ultimately, understanding how innovation can become ever more systematically inclusive will be of lasting long-term value to businesses, community groups, governments, and society as a whole!
Our plan(s):
Holding a series of four (4) Inclusive Innovation Workshops (IIWs), to take place annually. IIWs will bring together diverse participants from partner organizations, students, academics, and other experts in the pursuit of applied solutions to challenges related to digital transformation. These challenges, whether they be tangible/technical or human in nature, will be addressed through established responsible research and innovation process.

What is inclusive innovation?
A collaborative and co-creative, multi-stakeholder approach to innovation* that emphasizes the agency and innovativeness of stakeholders that will be affected by the consequences of innovation, including those traditionally excluded from innovation activities, and aims to increase the contributions of innovation to social, environmental and economic outcomes.
